Welcome to Pinxian Lu's personal website.
As a second-year PhD student in Human-centered Computing, I am especially interested in building and evaluating applications of Large Language Models to improve people's online experience, especially through reducing the impact of online harassment. Through my work, I hope to utilize advancements in Artificial Intelligence to promote their positive impact and reduce their negative impact on online communities and the society.
My advisor is Professor Munmun De Choudhury. I am a member of the Social Dynamics and Well-Being (SocWeB) Lab at Georgia Tech (https://socweb.cc.gatech.edu/).
August 2024 I became a PhD student at Georgia Institute of Technology in the Human Centered Computing program.
December 2023 I received the Honorable Mention of the 2024 Computing Research Association's (CRA) Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award (URA). (Webpage: https://cra.org/crae/awards/cra-outstanding-undergraduate-researchers/) The certificate is below.
